Sortile — Colour Block Puzzle
Privacy policy
Sortile works without an account or analytics. Most game data stays on your device.
Effective and last updated
Data on your device
Sortile does not ask you to create an account. Your current puzzle, preferences, statistics, daily history and level progress are stored in browser or app storage on your device so the game can resume and remember your choices.
Export and import
You can choose to export settings, statistics and progress as a JSON file, and choose a JSON file to import. Sortile reads the selected file locally and does not upload it. Your current puzzle is not included in an export. You control where exported files are saved and which file is imported.
Optional feedback
The Feedback tool prepares a message to sortilefeedback@gmail.com and asks your email app to open it. Sortile does not send or store the email itself.
The prepared message includes only the Sortile version and build, current mode, difficulty and row count, a coarse device category, and browser name and major version. In Daily or Levels, you can separately choose to add that puzzle's date or level number. Anything else is included only if you type it into the email.
Hosting, Windows and offline use
The Windows Store app is an Edge Hosted App that loads the Sortile PWA from GitHub Pages. A service worker caches app files on your device for faster loading and offline play.
GitHub Pages, Microsoft Edge, the Microsoft Store, your operating system and network providers may process standard technical request data such as IP addresses, timestamps and browser information under their own privacy policies. Sortile does not add third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Sales, ads and sharing
Sortile does not sell personal data, show targeted advertising or use analytics. Data is shared only when you deliberately export a file, import a file, or send feedback through your email provider.
Delete your data
Clear storage for this site or app in your browser or operating-system settings, or uninstall the app, to remove Sortile's local data. Exported files and sent emails are outside Sortile and must be deleted where you saved or sent them.
Children's privacy
Sortile is a general-audience puzzle and does not knowingly collect personal information through the game. A parent or guardian should review any feedback a child chooses to write before it is sent. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information through feedback.
Changes to this policy
If Sortile's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date above will change. Material changes will be reflected before the related feature is released.
